Re: DDFS

Hi,

NCO : Is a dgital technique of generating required frequency it basically uses a counter and provides rectangular waveform output.

DDFS : is a DSP technique. It may use the NCO, other digital techniques to create modify, .... and finally uses a DAC to conver it to analog form.

Hope this is useful.

Re: DDFS

DDFS: Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis
it use a high frequency (fs) clock source to generated low frequency anyshape waveform. The frequency of generated waveform should not exceed 1/20 to get a low harmonic output after DAC.
