If a device works with interface that is USB 1.1 compliance and USB 2.0 compatible, what does it mean?

What is the difference with the device that works with USB 2.0 compliance and USB 1.1 compatible?

2.0 device is backward compatible with usb 1.1
if 2.0 device connected to 1.1 ports, it will display port connected is not high speed and will run at reduced speed.
