The schematic in this site is wrong - it will not work with revers bias LED!

Were you actually able to get the HR signal with the circuit?
do you have a more complete/correct schematic?

I tried reading with 8bit ADC but there is no pulse...

yup i able to get the HR by using that circuit... a normal IR with a wavelength of 950nm and any phototransistor will do to...
