Hello,
I am creating my first PCB with Allegro PCB Designer and I was suprised to find out that the footprints provided by Cadence are missing soldermask and pastemask layers. Instead of Editing them I started creating every single components from scratch, this way I would eliminate some bad surprise when the PCB is fabricated :)
Anyway, I could not find a way to define the height of components that I create.
Thank you!

Congratulations on building your own footprints rather than relying on some unverified tool to do it for you.

Now to your question, after you have defined component outline go to setup--> areas --> Package Height. Use control menu to enter value for height

Good Luck,

M

As an alternative way do a "Package geometry/place_bound_top" shape and give it height properties, then copy it to "package geometry/dfa_bound_top".
