Anyone hv links or projects on RGB LED strip?
Recently many many comercial units available but the price is really steep.
The controller can produced really nice chase or flash patterns and the strip can be linked for several meters producing eyecatching effect. I think they are all serially controlled.

Thanks in advance

when u get the RGB LED light strip you will need the controller, which has static modes and changing modes etc... What kinda project example would u like to see?

It's very quiet here, is it like this type of **broken link removed** ?

Dindeds, to accent the eyecatching effect, you need need to use some high power RGB led strips. As I know, There are two types of RGB led light strps, 5M(16.4 ft) RGB led strips with 300 smd 5050 LEDs, 5M RGB LED strips with 150 smd 5050 LEDs, respectively. though they are all are 5 meters long, as contains different amount of LED chips, their brightness significantly vary. So when buy the strips, you should inquire of the salesman the exact specs.

Would and **broken link removed** from pepboys that runs off a 12v batt work off a wall outlet?
trying to wire up a set of **broken link removed** to a custom made lava lamp. will the led strips work off a wall outlet?
No. waterproof led strip light You will need a 12 volt DC power supply that runs off of house current (which is 117 volts AC).
