i need to programme IMEI Number in GSM MODEM.what are the AT COMMANDS/SOFTWARE .at present there is no imei number in that modem.

The IMEI is a number programmed by the manufacturer. If the modem doesn't have an EMEI I suspect there is a problem with the unit. It's unlikely you'll find any software to set it, and if you did it would be manufacturer specific.

The EMEI consist of 2 fields. The first field identifies the manufacturer and the second field is a serial number - it's much like the MAC address on an Ethernet board.

IMEI number is embeded into module when production. Most modules can change their IMEI number. But there is one type new module which can use AT command to change modules IMEI number.

Can you tell which module is that?
