Hi John,

Obviously this thread is really old, but I wanted to add this here to help out any other people searching for this.

I've put together an improved Eagle to KiCAD schematic converter available here, with details and a change log here. It should let you convert most Eagle schematics to KiCAD format, though it does still have issues with multi-gate symbols.
