Question on TV aerials

Could someone please provide a circuit diagram or a link which advises how the signal levels are measured from a TV antenna.

Basically I need to point the antenna in the right direction to get the best signals in 3 different channels (VHF and UHF - 2 separate aerials).

It can be a meter which reads the signal level for a particular frequency.

Thank you

Please help

Is this too much of a hassle to design ones own?

Any help would be much appreciated

For comparative measuring check the AGC level on tuner modul....

Hi
The best way to ensure that your signals are good is to use a moniter tv rather than a signal strength meter.
Many aerial contractors just sit the areial up on a roof and point it in the general direction.
The best way is to attach a cable to the arial and walk the site and choose the best signal IE no ghosting colour fade and grain . A signal strength meter can be of use but it will only show you signal gain and after all it is the quolity of the picture you want. The signal strength will very any way with weather and other conditions.

Does a higher signal level not indicate a better picture quality?

With a few free to air channel options, the site which shows the highest signal level for all channels should be the direction to point the aerial.

Is that so?

Thanks
