snubbers for contactors

Hello,

I am switching a contactor of 230V~ Coil with a relay.
I think i should put an RC snubber across the contactor coil right. I read somewhere, that usually the values 470OHMS and 0.1uF are used.
Or is there any other better values or design rules. Or is there any readily available snubber component in the market?

Regards,
