This component is on one of the boards inside an LED tail light assembly for my 07 SAAB 9-3. I believe it regulates the voltage to the LED's. The LED's are used for parking lights and brake lights. The LED's light with reduced intensity for the parking lights by feeding them with a PWM voltage. When the brake lights are activated, the LED's light at full intensity by feeding them with a PWM voltage of 100%. In my case the brake lights work but the parking lights (same LED's) have stopped working. The dealer wants $450 for a new light cluster... Yikes! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it appears to be a type of capacitor
as its ratings are 22uF and 50V
its a kind of electrolytic capacitor

It is an Eletrolytic capacitor of 22 microfarads 50 Volts.
Good luck
