Buck boost converters

Please somebody explian me the buck boost converters how it works its application's. and the advantage

Hi

Very brief.
Buck-converters have higher input voltage compared to the output voltage.
Boost-converters have lower input voltage compared to the output voltage.
If you consider them 100% efficient, then the current is inverse proportinal.

Now if it is a required that your input voltage is both above and below the output voltage a Buck-Boost can be used.
