Can PowerPCB output layers to printer with holes in pads?
Didn´t see any options like that..

Would be much easier for quick prototyping...

One idea, is to right-click on top of your pad and select Add Via at SMD. Then you just select the via type in (right click in via) Query/Modify.../PadStack, and change the drill size value to say 20 or 30 so that you'll have a hole. Be careful though with the clearances.

Hope that helps

Can you explain a bit more clearly please? I couldn't do it?

I'm not talking about SMD pads...
I mean normal through-hole pads...

In OrCAD there was an option to print the layout to a printer with holes in the pads...but I assume PowerPCB hasn't this feature at all..

Hi davorin, Here is the tips :

U have to redefine all the pad stack with the third pad shape (with a hole inside)

click the check box "Pad size relative to drill size" and then put 0 for the "inner diam"...

then you'll have a pad with a hole (which will be be at the size of the drill)

bye

What about non circular pads?

I've tried but not manage to have a square pad with hole... if anyone knows a solution, plz write it below...

the best way is that
assign a layer for pad master.
define the size of hole u need in the pad durring output.

take the gerber of the same
and while ploting merge it with the soldermask.and inverse this layer over it.

Sorry but i didn't understand clearly. What is pad master?

this is a reference layer used for manual drill.
a pad with a center open is known as pad master.

when cnc drill is done this never come to a pitcure

Import all gerber and nc drill files to any gerber editor
Convert drill to gerber data. change polarity of converted gerber data
overlap with other pad layer
then print it
