I'm trying Microwave Imaging for small objects like a tumor.
I refer to the following article.

BREAST CANCER TUMOUR DETECTION USING MICROWAVE RADAR
TECHNIQUES
https://bura.brunel.ac.uk/bitstream/2438/2663/1/C15_URSI.pdf

I don't understand how to get function Ui(t) in Equation (1) from this article.
I can convert S21 data to time domain data with time domain option of VNA.

I suppose I can get Ui(t) from this time domain data.
But I don't know the detailed means.

Thanks

You can export thr s12 ampltude and phase (in matlab for exemple), one sample for position of the antenna, and then you can use the FFT on complex S12 data.

Thank you for your reply.

I can convert frequency domain data S21 to time domain data with inverse Fourier transform.
But I don't know what I should do after that.

Can Ui(t) be expressed as a function with variable t?
I think that function is necessary for integral zero to τ.

Thanks.

the Function Ui(t) is signal received from path i, so I think that Ui(t) is the time domain waveform from each of received patch.

However, I don't know how to find wi ?

hi kumagai,

did you got the solution for the query you posted?
since iam working now on the same topic related imaging

if you have any materials please upload
regards
