smd j106

Hi,

I need to identify these, but don't know where to start. Out of 6, 2 are removed by physical force, but PCB seems to be in fair shape. It is old CPU card for Amiga computers that I'm trying to refurbish.

I'm fairly sure that missing ones are also J106, but wouldn't know if these are diodes od capacitors or semiconductors.

Here is photo:

Thanks!

identifying smd

look like its a tantalum chip capacitor, J is the voltage code (6.3V I believe) and 106 is of cos the capacitance. Hope it helps.

identyfing surface mount devices

That would be great if it is, so white stripe should be polarity (+) ?
and capacity according to 106 is 10uF?

Yes it should 10uF.

...
for tantalum caps, the white stripe refers to the (+) terminal..
i think, the "J" refers to the tolerance of the capacitance value. (i.e. 10uF +/- 5%)
