555 signal generator

hi, everybody..

I want to build a function generator by using 555 timer for signal generator and it capable of outputting a square wave with adjustable frequency in the ranges of 1Hz to 100Hz..
If anyone have an idea please let me know...thanks for your cooperation..:D

555 function generator

You will not get a symmetric square wave with only the 555 (50% duty cycle) and a variable output frequency will change the duty cycle also. Try another IC like XR2206.

555 timer frequency generator

Yo can connect a diode in parallel to the resistor between the pins 6 and 7 to achieve this.

Look in the Timers and Counters Section.
There are 555 examples, but the TL494 circuits are
more capable of 50% duty cycles. Root around.
