Hi everyone,
i want to use mobdus protocol with pic16f877a.
i wanna know that if i use 20MHz crystal with pic16f877a then what maximum baudrate modbus supply/support ?
and what would be the effect if i use 4MHz Crystal instead of a 20MHz crystal?
can modbus operate at 19200 baudrate when i will use 4MHz crystal?

I think you are working on Modbus RTU slave for more info and clarifications for your doubts refer this link
have look at attached pdf for modbus specifications on serial.
