Hi, I want the procedure to Design of Counters using JK flip flops. I have seen question like, some input & output equations will be given & we should provide the state diagram, state table, state equation & logic (circuit) diagram.

I don't know if its a synchronous or asynchronous?

Bye,

this is a bistable multivi brator.

for circuits see this

pravardhan,...

What kind of counters (BCD, binary, Decimal, up-down,...)?
All can be designed using state diagrams and K-Map.
I have a lot of designes, just name the counter and I'll provide you with design.

Try this:

Ok, the question is like this:

A sequential circuit has two flip flops (A and B), two inputs (x and y) and an output z. The flip flop functions and the circuit output functions are as follows:

JA = xB+yB' KA = xy'B'
JB = xA' KB = xy'+A
z = xyA+x'y'B

Obtain:

a) logic diagram
b) state table
c) state diagram
d) state equations

The question is taken from the Book:
Digital logic and computer design by Morris Mano.

The page number is 254 & question number is 6-13.
The partial answer is given in page no. 597

But, i couldn't get how he formed the table?

Thanks in advance,
PRAVARDHAN

I'm sorry, but.. What are the (x and y)? The inputs of what?
The two Flip_Flops have (JA,KA,QA,Q'A,JB,KB,QB,Q'B) what are the (x and y)?

Hi seadolphine,

Um.. There will be some gates between the Flip-Flops and the two inputs - x & y, as well as at the output.

And, the outputs of flip-flops are A,A',B & B' and the inputs are JA,KA,JB & KB.

Bye,

hi seadolphine,
can you provide me a design of counter up and down 0-99/99-0 ???
:D

The following link shows you not only how to design the multivibrator circuit but also how to present the work:
