Hi there,

i'm working on a project with a PIC 16f877 with an 8255 port expander to control 16 bit data bus and 8 bit control bus of an IDE CD-ROM.
The goal is to play audio CD and view track information with timing data on LCD display.
The problem is to implement comunicaton between IDE interface and PIC micro with 8255.
Someone know what is the right sequence to send to comunicate with the ide bus?
If yes, please report the right signal sequence as single signal step to be executed with PIC.
Thank you.
