Hi everyone,
Can anyone explain different types of layout drawing techniques of a CAPACITOR. If any material is there please upload here.

I know 2 techiniques
1. Using MOS transistor
2. Using Metals (MIM)

Are there any other techniques????

Thanks in advance

Re: Capacitance layout??

1,using poly (sandwich cap)
2,using metal(finger cap)

Re: Capacitance layout??

PIP - Poly-Insulator-Poly

Capacitance layout??

THere area a many different alternatives and it's due to the capacitance by area unit. Anyway, the ones to be used would be the only availables within your process valid components...

Some of them are:
- Metal Insulator Metal
- Poly insulator poly
- Poly insulator plug
-etc.

Diode varactor.
