Hi,
I found many chips(such as LED driver, audio amplifiers)have the overtemp protection and overcurrent protection on the same chip. Per my understandings, the overcurrent protection is to prevent the high current from keading to the high temperatures. If so, the overtemp protection block will work. Then, why we need the overcurrent protection block on the same chip?

Would anyone pls. tell me if any other reasons?

Thanks

This paper explains to you the thing..)

You should take care the inrush current also.
Large inrush current will permanently damage your circuit components.
