how to model human body

how we can model our body, some strange thing happen when I put my finger on the IC pin And I don;t know why?
It could be a capacitor? a resister? a power supply?..etc

Help me to point out this prolem.thanks

Re: how to model human body

Hi,
It is all together a resistor a Inductance dans a capacitance.
I think it is somethink like that:

Re: how to model human body

how much about its value?

how to model human body

It depend of the person.
Concerning resistors. Some people have a great resistance to the current. I Think it is between 10 and 20 Kilo ohm.

how to model human body

these values are time varying... they even depend on the food you take and what work you have done lately.... the capacitor especially would have different charge at different time....

how to model human body

For ESD HBM, I remember the cap is 100pF

how to model human body

cap is 100pF and res is 1500ohms

how to model human body

a 100pF cap discharges to the device through a 1.5k ohm res.

Sorry, for numbers It is between 1 and 2 Kilo ohm.

Re: how to model human body

The value of R is around 1.5kohms and C is around 100pf....

Re: how to model human body

Please check the following circuitry:

I got it from Maxim's application note
