populate minipci

I have a Acer Aspire 5672
with an unpopulated mini pci slot,
possible with the Ethernet card hard soldered underneath.

**broken link removed**

Is it possible to re populate the connector and use with
a regular minipci card,
looks like i might be missing some supporting components??

and what if the ethernet "card" is on the same pci connector

is PCI a "dumb" bus like ISA, or does the cards need to bee "selected"
individually ?

Suggestions ??
