you must first consider seperating the 12v 60Ah battery from the internal charger of the ups
 

+ups +12v

Another thing to consider is that many auto batteries have reduced capacity each time they are discharged by a large fraction of their capacity.
 

u can easily conect a 12v/60ah battery to the ups. but your ups will not give a sufficeint current to the battery for that you have to build a external charger of minimum 5 amp.
