2407's power supply question

From the data sheet, the Vdd pins and Vddo pins of 2407 and 2407A are both connected to 3.3V. But some datasheet says "The 240 is a 5-V part, whereas the 240xA devices operate on 3.3 V." So what is the power supply difference between 2407 and 2407A when i design the PCB.
