How long do we need the p-type(on sub) or n-type(on n-well)?
5um?
10um?
20um?
And under what kind of situation?

hello!
i dont really get your point.

yes,it's very confused.
can you give some detailed explanation?

Hi walkingsun,

All these questions are genarally based on the DRC rules
defined by a particular foundry .. please specify the foundry
technology and the sub-block for which you are asking this
question.

i mean how many micron the distance of p-type could be away from another p-type?

the distance is longer, the grounding is weaker, but the area is smaller

the ground is not connected by p-sub only.

there are many contacts to metal layers. so the grounding is not too much weak.

Hello boss we are not able to understand ur question plz be clear

The answer is it depends upon the design rules which we get by the foundry and those are minimum width, minimum distance between poly to poly and so on... these are the design rules. It doesn't mean that u shud always use meet the design rules i mean there may be a situation that u will not be able to go with a design rules so at that time u can keep 0.08 if the design rule is 0.07

I hope it is clear now
Bye take care
