I need to build an RS485 tx/rx including 1 transimater and 1 receiver
the transimitter have its own power supply and the receiver is at 100 meter from the Tx the Questions are:

1--how to use data line between the Tx and Rx to carry both data and
power?

2-- is it possible to use data line as power source for thr Rx i.e by using a bridge rectifier at the receiving end on the data line + a rectifier capacitor

then connecting them to supply pins of the Rx

if you have any idea or circuit or if you find it impossible plz reply me

bye.

The BEST way is to use 4 wires
It will work 100%

power & data on 2 wire

Search NS and LT site thay use to have app note describing how to transfer both data and power on the same line.

there was also a design idea in electronic design site describ the same methode i think in the year 99/98
