if you need generate square wave ,can you use 555 timer for that.

no 555 not suit for me..
i need a one resitor controlled oscillator..
also voltage on the tune resistor should be bipolar..

I have try to simulate above circuit in proteus with no success

Regards.

for this aid you can use negative resistance oscillator.

Hi hunter

i believe this ckt. wont generate a square wave. I have carried out derivation for its o/p using small signal analysis deriving its transfer function. From that it appears the ckt. will have damped oscillations and hence won't be able to sustain oscillations. can mail you the derivation if ur interested.

I have found answer it can generate.. I should not have trust to Simulation softwares :))
Regards..

By varing capacitance value ,you can check waveform.

if R1 is 1M to 10Mohm circuit generates but,
how can i modify it for less than 1Megaohm?

Can you use an A-Stable in your design? There are many square wave generators in Rashid, or Bell. I am sure you will find what you need there.
