Hi All,

I have a project on designing FM receiver 88-108MHz

Basically it will be a superheterodyne receiver (with quadrature mixer) and i need to digitized the IF signal (I & Q) to pass onto the DSP (where i will perform demodulation, digital filtering, etc). And finally connect to the PC via USB.

My question is:
1. What is the recommended PLL freq.synthesizer chip?
2. What is the recommended Quadrature mixer chip?
3. What is the recommended ADC chip?
4. What is the sampling rate of the ADC?

I knw there is plenty of single-chip FM receiver but my supervisor requires me to do some hardware (such as TRF,LNA, etc and combine it with some chips as mentioned above).

Any suggestion is most welcome :)

Thanks and best regards,
Dennis

Thanks for your info. I just look at NJM2591 as the FM demodulation chip & ADF4111 as my PLL freq synthesizer. do you have any experience with these ICs?
