working of lm35 temperature sensor

we want to know what is the material used to sense the temperature in lm35 and how it gives the output in voltage form.
 

Have you tried reading the datasheet? **broken link removed** , there is a block diagram of the internal circuitry. I didn't read the datasheet, but they probably give an explanation somewhere.
 

lm35dz is an transducer.... which converts heat energy to electrical energy... i think u have to learn about energy conversion of thermister & themocouple try to see pt100 sensor...
 

The LM35 give you an output of 10mV/degC viz 20 deg C = 0.2 VDC
