Regulator made using transistors, diodes and resistors no op amps. please help even the simplest schematic would be appreciated. I acually only need a schematic for the regulator. Thank You
 

You'll find everything you need in the LM317 regulator datasheet. Download one..Cheers

Think about how much heat you are going to have to dissipate.
 
it has 29 active transistors, a bit too much i think, but thanx anyway
If the IC has inbuilt 29 transistors, you'll have no problems using the device by using just 5-6 external components to make it a complete "Variable voltage regulated boost current power supply".
