Hi guys,
Finally found a place for advice. I am a new user in Altium, and is having problem with creating a new component. So I created a footprint of a (BNX002) and then I created a new schematic library of the component. In the schematic library I added the footprint to the new component. The problem is when I use the new part, I cannot wire anything to any of the pins, and if I do "Ctrl+Click" to move the component only the component moves and not the connected wires. The footprint would show in PCB layout but the pins are not connecting to anything. I am struggling with finding the solution.

Thanks.

Hi
Check your schematic library again, have you used pins? maybe you have used lines for pins or maybe you placed pins in wrong direction
if you place pins in correct direction ,when you draw wires in schematic a red cross is shown and electrical connection occures

Thanks for the hint. I notice that and went back to where I create the new component and notice my pins were backward! Thanks a alot!

But now I have a different problem in pcb design. When I "Import Changes" from schematic into pcb and "Execute Changes" I received "Unknown Pin: Pin XXX" on all the connection pins of the new component, therefore none of the pins in PCB view is connected to any net.

Check pins designators in schematic library(double click on pin and change name and designator)designators of schematic and pcb library must be the same in datasheet of the component
designators of schematic library and pcb library must be same for a pin

Thanks a lot for the help. Everything works now.
