Anyone bought pickit 3 in india , what is its price in india ?

I got it from microchipdirect..., it wasn't cheap, but I think its worth it, i feel its better to import such equipment..rather than source a local supplier.

any negative , when buy from a local supplier ? , how much was the expense for you ? , i am really having trouble with the programmer from kitsrus

Some years ago I had bought the Picstart plus programmer locally, the product worked well, but I think it wasn't a brand new piece, also it had been re-packed, they probably did this to test the equipment, but I decided to buy directly from microchip..

I paid 69.99 USD for the PIC kit3 programmer (2009), I had ordered other products as well, the total value was 199 USD, a shipping fee of 20 USD and import VAT duty of 21 USD was added, the goods came via fedex and was shipped door to door (delhi).

Their charges for shipping are indeed high, so is the import duty, but I think on the whole I am happy with their service and delivery. In fact since then I have ordered all my PIC parts and wireless modules from them..

You can also check out farnell, (Formerly Farnell | Electronic Components Distributor | element14 India). They also stock a good range of Microchip products, the pricing is in rupees, and I think you have to add a 10% to the cost for the actual price (please confirm with farnell).

Inspite of the high cost I think its better to invest in a good equipment after all you don't buy these frequently, this is one of the main reasons why I buy directly from Microchip..

thanks

Please don't blame indian supplier you are paying Rs. 2000 for shipping so it is fast. if any one ready to pay quarter of that amount it will be same.

are you sure? i double checked it, anyone can buy pickit3 for just Rs 3500/- including fast shipping
yes dear , its 3200 to 3500/- in india including shipping otherwise its 3K

pickit 3 INR 2250 approx + shipping and duty in India will cost you more than INR 3500 .

various times i was warned when i post the sellers site here , so i didnt posted the address here

The ICD3 cost more than pickit 3 isnt it ? , what is it so ? , earlier icd was cheaper isnt it ?

When you get a warning, it will be sure for a reason. We see why and the nature and intension of the reply posted. In case of this post, you can suggest any supplier who deals in Pickit3. Thus avoid repeatedly posting the same dealer or driving traffic to your own blog or sales site will amount to advertising.
Cheers

point noted ,

is it really worth to buy a pickit 3 ? , or to go with pickit 2 ? , there are lots of negative coming from net for pickit 3 , anyone experienced , please share experience here

It is definitely worth to buy PK3. I bought PK2 about a year ago and now when i plan on trying new microcontrollers from microchip i will need to buy PK3 anyway.

On the other hand you can buy a clone on ebay for half a price of original PK3 and with free shipping.

most probably it will answer your question. comparison between pickit2 and pickit3

i have removed the link many times i have got warning from admin, you can search video on youtube titled "EEVblog #39 - Microchip PICkit 3 Programmer/Debugger Review " it will answer your question
