I have found a simple circuit using a 555 which will produce a machine gun sound. (I am going to use it in my model airplane). I have built and tested a circuit based on a 4013 which will switch pin 13 high when pushing a stick porward on a spare channel.
What is the best method of switching on the 555 sounder when pin 13 goes high on the 4013?

Thanks

Mike

Connect control to pin 4 (reset) in 555 machine gun
so that when pin 13 goes high on the 4013
it puts pin 4 high too.
When pin 4 in 555 is low , oscillator output is low.
Pin 4 high >> 555 oscillator working.

Thanks kak. Just what I wanted.
Does this mean I can connect pin 13 direct to pin 4 without a transistor switch stage or a resistor network?

If both ic`s have common power supply.
ie. common GND and +Vs,
then you can connect them without any added components.
