Hi i will start studying VLSI
i studied electronics using Microelectronic circuits by sedra and smith

What books i need to start study VLSI and what programs i also need ?
I hope you can suggest me steps and books so that i can be good vlsi designer .

this books are good according to me

FPGA Prototyping by VHDL Examples By Pong P. Chu for vhdl

sedra and smith is good.
weste is the standard book.
but if you want to learn the very fundamental , then read this:
digital systems design by uyemura.
a fantastic book for vlsi beginners.
the title may give differnt but it is the book for fundamental of vlsi
