i need a jtag parallel cable for Xinlinx FPGAs
i am want using this :

what is the soft ports ?
i think soft ports are not important and can be omited.
 

There are several types :

Mainly, 3 and 4.

Do you know the type your target need to use ?

It depends on what you are trying to do and which configuration you are using. Each family / device has different capabilities. Are you just wanting to download to the FPGA or program a CPLD or Serial Flash Configuration chip?
