does someone know how to build an J-tag to Xilinx CPLD or FPGA from USB ? and how? schamatic.... simple schmatic.
ex. with FT 2xx family usb to serien Converter ???
all the document I find is with there own J-tag. does anyone Jtag works on Xilinx Jtag ??
can I program it with an PICKIT3 programmer for examble.
I have read the topic about Jtag here on edaboard but that only explain witch pin from RS-232 you shall use but not how see Jtag edaboard

I know it's not what you asked, but IMO building a jtag programmer is a big time waster. I used to do that myself, but these days there are enough cheap alternatives that DIY doesn't make much sense anymore.

The time you spend figuring out why the hell the trivial jtag thing is not working is better spent on figuring out why the hell your cool fpga design is not working. ;-)
