There is an example in help file of mikroC in keypad library, I have tried it but i notices that after a few seconds, the LCD is like refreshing, deleting everything i typed and then like running the program from the start again. The number of key pressed counter is going back to 1. And also, i'd like to know how can I continously fill up the next space in the right then transforming all you typed into an integer, cause i am working on a input password project.

Thanks a lot pros!:smile:

hi

post the software here
we are not free enough to down load the microC and do it for you

regards

ml

as m also was working on this project and i used mikro c compiler....the built in lib for the keypad does not work for other except the mikro c deveolpment board..i tried a much....but all in vain....if you have done it thn u should be great.......

this is code i think which involves the lcd and 4x4 keypad...
Code:
/*
 * Project name:
     Keypad_Test (Demonstration of usage of the Keypad Library)
 * Copyright:
     (c) Mikroelektronika, 2008.
 * Revision History:
     20080930:
       - initial release;
 * Description:
      A simple example of using the keypad library for mikroC PRO for PIC.
      It supports keypads with 1..4 rows and 1..4 columns. The code being
      returned by the Keypad_Key_Press() and Keypad_Key_Click() functions is
      in range from 1..16. In this example, the code returned by the keypad
      library functions is transformed into ASCII codes [0..9,A..F].
      In addition, a small single-byte counter displays in the second LCD row
      number of key presses.
 * Test configuration:
     MCU:             PIC16F887
     Dev.Board:       EasyPIC5
     Oscillator:      HS, 08.0000 MHz
     Ext. Modules: LCD 2x16, Keypad 4x3 or 4x4 module at PORTC
     SW:              mikroC PRO for PIC
 * NOTES:
     - Pull-down PORTC (place jumper J3 in lower position).
     - Turn on LCD backlight SW9.7 (board specific)

Here it is:

do {

//--- Wait for key to be pressed

//--- un-comment one of the keypad reading functions
kp = Keypad_Released();
//kp = Keypad_Read();
while (!kp);

cnt++;

//--- prepare value for output
if (kp > 10)
kp += 54;
else
kp += 47;

//--- print it on LCD
Lcd_Chr(1, 10, kp);
WordToStr(cnt, txt);
Lcd_Out(2, 10, txt);

} while (1);
}//~!
