suggest Real Time Clock with inbuilt crystal

hi all,
please suggest me a real time clock with inbuilt crystal if possible it should be 8 pin dip package.:shock:
 

it is not advisable to use internal crystal because you may need to caliberate the oscillator which may drift. if it is internal you dont have the provision to do it. if it is outside you can put your hand on it and replace it or calibrate RTC..

if you are too specific check out the below numbers of IC

Hi malasi,

Check **broken link removed**. I have been working with that chip. It is simple to program and accurate. Integrated crystal is calibrated during manufacturing process and has temperature compensation, also crystal aging can be compensated. I can't agree with ckshivaram, that integrated crystal is worst than external. There is also possibility of calibration by program.

Check DS3232 if you prefer I2C bus.

I am also looking for an RTC with in built crystall available in india. I am currently usins DS1307 but its gives +-3 minute/month accurancy only. As don diego suggested DS3234 or DS3231 or DS3232 is the best solution, but these are not available in india. I also can't agree with ckshivaram.

it wont happen like that, check your crystal part, and volt part, i used ds1307 and found no problems

I think the problem is of my crystal. I tried 5 types from different vendors. But no hope. So I calibrated it on software. rajudp can you tell me the details of 32.768 crystal you are using?, Where can I get it ?
 

Try DS12887 It has internal crystal, battery etc.

But Parallel connection

It is available in India
