Hi all,

I am working with xilinx XCS3S400. for this I want to load the program in the PROM, which was working previously.

But now the problem is "ERROR:iMPACT-583-'1', device idcode not matched........"

As I am new to the FPGA world,

I googled the ERROR. I found in some post that "slowing down the speed of the port can solve the problem".

So, if any body has a solution for this kindly let me resolve the problem.

1.How to slow down the speed
2.what was the actual problem.

Thanks all.

There should be some settings in the "impact" software interface.

Hi amnandu,

I am using the Xilinx Parallel jtag.

After opening the iMPACT and when I am trying to build the chain.

It is showing that ERROR.

Also to make sure that the HARDWARE is working fine, I traced out the signals coming from the parallel port onto the jtag. the buffers in the board are working fine.

Kindly let me know is there any other possibility to debug the hardware.

Thanks all..
