I am not sure, but it sounds like you just erased the defaults. But not to worry, generally the people that design boards like this know this kind of thing tends to happen. ;-)

Check the **broken link removed**. As you can see you can download the "Initial Design for the Spartan-3E FPGA Starter Kit Board" and also the "Default Xilinx CPLD Design". Seems to me that you can use those to get your board back to it's original state.

hope that helps! :)

You have to read load "Default Xilinx CPLD Design" file to make the board function again. Remember, its okay to erase the platform flash, but if you can not erase CPLD data.

Anyways, download "original_CPLD_design.jed" from the link mentioned above, burn it back to CPLD, that should restore your board.

Good luck

Thanks a lot Jack. u have given me some sort of comfort level.
I will try that .
Can u explain me the functions of these three icons shown in picture
What are the contents of each one.??

Nice, the right most device on the picture you posted above is CPLD.

Right click on it >> Assign New Configuration File and then select & burn original_CPLD_design.jed file on it.

Thanks jack, i did it through assign new configuration file, then it showed the file name under the icon,
apparently it seems that CPLD has been programmed, but when i restart the impact, it agains says that CPLD is blank.
Actually i know i am doing half step and data is not being transferred to CPLD of board and it remains there for that session

Kindly tell me step by Step procedure. Sir i will be highly grateful to you for this. I hope when CPLD will be programmed then i will see welcome screen message and then my LEDs will also glow???

Thanks a lot. I am using ISE 12.3 version

Default program that comes preloaded with FPGA board now has to be restored to see those LED glowing. It is stored in platform flash (xcf04s), middle one in the picture you posted.

All you have to do is burn s3esk_startup_rev2.mcs file, which can be downloaded from link posted above under Initial Design for the Spartan-3E FPGA Starter Kit Board link.

Good luck

Resected sir i have downloaded both files from xilinx but i dont know how to burn them on FPGA board.
Can u give me ur yahoo ID so that i can take live help from u while chatting with u and burning the board.

Thanks a lot
