how do we interface a joy stick to a fpga....... and how to write the driver software for lcd lumex lm 16200

For Joystick, you need analog inputs, I don't know about that LCD, is it a normal LCD with integrated controller? Then you can search EDABOARD for info, there are many similar items here.

sir, it is a lampex lm16200 lcd........ i want to interface it with virtex II pro xc2vp7 board...... can you post the vhdl codes for initialization of the lcd and how to write code for lcd driver.......?
and do you have any idea on single board computers......... i need information regarding a stand alone single board computer with virtex fpga and processor with either two pmc sites..... if pmc sites are not available then with digital i/o and rs-232 and 2 channel adc interfaces.......
and i need the data sheet of arinc 572......... i googled it but i am not getting it......

Do you want me to solve your personal problems too?

Come on, you ask one question, and get answers, you thank people and then ask another one, that's the way it works dude.

If you just did a simple search on EDABOARD, you could find almost all the answers to your questions, INCLUDING full source code, but I am afraid it is too much to ask, you just want someone to give you the answer to EVERYTHING.

Good luck

There are many types of joysticks. Some return a voltage or resistance, some simply have switches for up/down/left/right, and some have an on-board processor which exchanges serial data. The data formats for some systems are readily available; for other systems, they are unavailable without signing an NDA.

Joysticks for the Atari 2600 Video Computer System are no longer produced but nonetheless widely available (some replacement parts are being produced). They use a DB-9 connector which with five pins for up/down/left/right/fire, plus one common wire. Those would probably be the easiest to use, if the form factor is acceptable. They are available at https://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ though you can probably onesie-twosies cheaper if you shop around on ebay and the like.
