Can any one help me to make video transmission through simulink?

I need to make a simple link in simulink that reads the video in MP4 (supported in simulink) format, and do the channel coding and transmit through AWGN channel and do the inverse channel coding at receiver and display the video.

As I understand the biggest problem is to buffer the mp4 ... live .... data into simulink. If you are succesful in it then you can also add blocks for convolutional coding etc However I think there is some special coding for video if I'm not mistaken

Ya your advise is right. presently i am concentrating on the buffering of video. But still not successfull yet.

well I must confess I tried to do similar stuff with trying to transmit a song with adding CRC, interleaving and coding over a BSC in Simulink, however, I was not successful with it. The problem I found was with convolutional encoding, I got noise after decoding. But till de-interleaving it worked fine.

I actually didn't give it too much thought as some other things came that needed my attention but I think the problem could be that I didn't 'flush' the convolutonal encoder after one frame duration. That was causing some problems with decoding.

Secondly viterbi decoding was taking a lot of processing time so the output was jittery. But like I said try upsampling at the receiver with buffer and downsampling at the transmitter. Maybe it works with some thing like that.

But Amit please do tell me if you are successful.

Do you have the video processing blockset installed? for Simulink

If so you can tell me background and how much you know about Simulink. I can give you suggestions

Live Video stream ==> Real time
simulink time domain is not in real time
you have to store the video stream in a file and then do your work
if you look at the matlab demos you can find an example in how to process the video sequence while playing it.
