port connection in Virtuoso layout

virtuoso layout

Hi,
In my layout, I assign the port material to be "metal pn". in LVS, it reported that the ports are missing.
What can I do to correctly connect ports to my circuit?

ic port layout

possibilities are :
1) short for corresponding port wiht some other port ... I n these case only few port will be missing.. OR..
2)Incorrect Layer eg drawing layer instead of pn....
If you are working on UMC foundry you have to use _tt layer instead of pn layers for port defination...... In this case all the ports will be missing....

Added after 47 seconds:

or the name used might be different (typo).... in this case you ll get extra port in layout warnings....

Usually a metal no. of the pin is expected. Check your layers table (LSW) for the correct syntax.

I am working using UMC indeed.
I tried metal_tt, but the LVS still report missing port

r u getting only pin errors...?? or some short or net mismatch is also there....??

r u getting any extra port on layout warnings...???

how r u adding the pin?? using CTRL + P or putting label??
 

port layout

I just try to layout a resistor to see how it works.
The resistor has four ports in schematic. It's not label, it's port.

I got two kinds of errors
1. no similar net
2 missing port. All the 4 ports I have are missing
 

how to put a pin on the layout virtuoso

i could only say some layer might be missing liking contat or via..... can you post error report ...??? maybe sum1 her could help......:0

I did not find any special things in the error report
BTW, I tried put the port metal directly to the resistor contact or using a metal-1 to connect them.Neither is successful.

Added after 1 hours 50 minutes:

The problem is solved by setting the port metal to pn
and add text of the type tt
