Multiplexer with output set to ground-how would ignal react?

Multiplexer

If you have a multiplexer which has an output set to ground, will the signal that's getting muxed into the output go to ground, or would the input voltage fluctuate at all?

Trying to imagine a mux backwards connected to a memory grouping :\

If you're talking about discharging capacitors, that could work. I'd use a resistor to ground though to limit the current.
