sim300 battery

hi
yes it's work with all "apn"s
your problem is because of supply of module
1- the module voltage may be less than 3.6V or higher than 4V.
2- maybe your supply cannot support the module voltage.
be success

sim300 battery charge

Hi Sabeti, Thank you for your help. I try using 4.5V 3XAA batteries to test. and it works like a charms.
Do you know what is the LDO stand for? I saw it in the sim300 demo CCT? Do we need VEXT to get the SIM300 to work properly?

sim300 without battery

hi
U need to use 3.7 V litium battery (if U want use the module with battery)
VEXT use when U want to supply another chip or etc as module slave or charge the 3.7V battery
for battery harging see the hardware application for sim300

battery for sim300

Hi Sabeti, I have got the circuit. I just don't understand why we need the LDO? My test CCT without LDO is working without problem. Do we really need the LDO? What is LDO? Why the output of the LDO is connected to the output of SIM300 (VEXT)???? I could not get the specification of that part! and do you know where we could buy one?

LDO is Low Drop Out regulator. It's typically a linear regulator with low drop voltage when it operates.
