pca82c251

hi frns,

Please tell me
1. what happens when we apply +ve voltage to CANH (CAN High Signal) and Ground to CANL (CAN low signal) ?

2.What happens if we ground both CANH and CANL ?

3.Can u give clear idea or clear diagram about CANH and CANL to represent logic '0' and logic '1'?

Thanks & Regards,
M.S. Kishore Kumar.

The PCA82c251 is a CAN transceiver. Let's take a look in the data sheet for your three questions.
**broken link removed**

1. page 5 says - no problem. Voltage V6 and V7 can be between -37V and +35V.
The truth table (page 4, table 1) says thats a logical 0.

2. nothing because CAN is a differential signal transmission system, means no difference -> no signal.

3. take a look at truth table (page 4, table 1)

Regards
Gomez
