Hi,

I am trying to do a translinear function (with MOS transistors, the principle is the same as for bipolars) which does this fuction:

Iout=K/√(Iin)
K being a constant

I don't find on the web such kind of circuits.
All I find is circuits doing this kind of fuction (or similar ones)
Iout=K/√(Iin1²+Iin2²)
In fact I can't find how to divide by a square root.

Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Mike

translinear circuit

You'll probably have to do it in the subthreshold region to get the exponential characteristic.
