Hi,
I am trying to measure SINAD of an 8 bit pipeline ADC. To do the measurement i get the output bits, construct the stair and convert it to analog voltage equivalent to the input. Then i do the 1024 point dft of the output . As the fft obtained is single sided, inorder to take into consideration the double sided spectrum i multiply the amplitude of all the spectral components by 2. As the definition of SINAD says,it is the SINAD expressed in dB,is the ratio of rms value of the fundamental signal to the rms value of all the other components excluding dc. Then in order to determine the rms value of the fundamental signal i multiply by sqrt(2).. How to determine the rms value of noise spurs and harmonic spurs?
