Hi all,
I want to design a circuit like that is attached. There is an ADC IC connected to a microcontroller. the micro-controller collects the digital data.
It is needed that the collected data be transferred every day (or every week) through telephone line. i predict that the data will be transfered in 1 minute (1kB).

Who knows an IC that can connect the microcontroller to telephone line. It should dial an special number and communicate with a modem (a PC) and a software will take the data and store them on a PC.

Any suggestion, part number, software link will be apprtetiated.

Hello ,

you can use CMX series ICs , www.cmlmicro.com, search for modem ICs and you will find them , they work well .....

Hi

1- you may use any external modem and drive it throgh the uc serial port
2-you ay use a GPRS modem/module insteade of the external modem
3-you may use phone micro controller from Motorola ,Philips , Holtek ,winbond and many other companies.
4-there's an old book about telephone electronics try to find it, it will be valuable for you
