Hi,

Just a query. For Serial communication in a null modem configuration, how many level of handshake do you actually need?

Is it as follows:
For transmission side, you are supposed to send a DTR signal and wait for an DSR response. Then do you actually need to use the RTS and CTS pair if no modem is involved?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Serial Communication

Hi,

So only a RTS/CTS flow control is neccessary? I mean, we do not actually need to implement the DTR/DSR flow control?

THanks for your help!
